The Highland Estate of Liarn enjoys an enviable setting on the shores of Loch Rannoch, with quite superb panoramic views southward over the Loch. The newly converted stone built cottages have been renovated with great care and are set within a traditional exterior. The cottages are fully equipped and offer spacious and comfortable accommodation, including a balcony with panoramic views over Loch Rannoch.

Loch Rannoch lies in the very heart of Scotland, surrounded by beautiful high mountains, forests and moorland with the great expanse of the Loch stretching east and west. Justifiably designated 'A National Scenic Area', the landscape around Loch Rannoch is quite stunning in all seasons and makes an ideal base for the walker, birdwatcher, photographer, and indeed for those of a more active disposition. The Loch itself has a circumference of some 26 miles and is renowned for the quality of its fishing, most notably its wild brown trout. There are also pike, perch and char. Liarn Farm offers stunning views over the Loch towards the Black Wood of Rannoch, amongst the last remnants of the Caledonian Forest which covered most of Scotland some 2000 years ago. The mystical Schiehallion (the Fairy Hill of the Caledonians) at 3553 feet, is despite its daunting look, surprisingly one of the easier Munros to 'bag'.
